Hey hey hey everyone! Thanks for your patience on my slow blogging! I'll put lots of pictures up this time since it's been so long! =)
I can’t believe Luke is 15 weeks already!!! My how time flies, even more so when you have a baby! They change and grow so fast! Right now Luke is stomping, cooing, drooling and spinning around in his “Step and Play Piano.” He LOVES being in this little activity center. I think it’s because it puts him on his feet, and he LOVES being on his feet. Today I put him on his stomach for some tummy time and he (with some help from me) slithered across the couch. It was so cute. He grunted and pushed off my hands with his feet and would rest, then do it again. I’ll have to take some pictures so you can see him do it. He has also started grabbing his feet. He’ll be on his back and kick his legs up and grab on to his feet. He still can’t get them to his mouth, but he loves holding on to them. He’s all smiles now and laughing more and more. He’s developed two different laughs. One is a burst of sound surrounded by coo’s. The other is a type of happy scream. I wish there was a place for audio on this blog, because you would melt to hear him talk and laugh! It’s the most beautiful sound ever! =)
Thursday night was our St. Barbara's Day Ball. There are pictures below of us all fancied up. Carolyn came to the house to watch Luke while we were there. Luke decided to poop through his outfit within 30 minutes of us leaving and to fight sleep the entire time we were gone (almost 5 hours.) So Luke decided to be a handful (probably because he thought Mike was going to come and take Carolyn away from him…hehehe just kidding Mike!) Carolyn did awesome with him - Thank you Carolyn! =) The Ball itself was…well, like they usually are…a lot of presentations and traditions, a small amount of food, and not a whole lot of fun. Oh well, ya do what ya gotta do…=)
Chris has been sick this week. It's nothing bad, just a cold, but it's still miserable for him. Every now and again, I think Luke is getting it, but somehow he's still ok.
Things have been busy as usual. Last week, we were gone every day/night of the week. This week looks a little less busy. I need to be home a few nights so I can get the laundry done and the guest room cleaned. It's so much easier to clean when Chris is here to take Luke.
Mom mom Scott is flying in on Friday night and we're so excited! I can't wait until she gets to see Luke face to face again. Unfortunately, Pop pop Scott can’t come because of work, so he will be missed. =(
Well, if I don't post this now, it'll never get done. It pretty much takes me all day to do this since every few minutes I have to go attend to Luke (who is crying while I type.)
Here are pictures to enjoy!
Until Next Time!
Hanging out with Dad during Lunch
He's not always smiles! Here he is in all his glory of crying!
He still loves his books!

What can I say, he loves being in his activity center!

I like putting him in this onesie...it gives me an ego boost. =)

Luke all dressed up for fall at the Military's Organizational Day BBQ...
This Shawl is a must have for those times you have to feed in public.
I paid a pretty penny for it ($32.00), but it's been well worth it.

3 Months
Things are going good in the Scott Household! We’ve been extremely busy, but that seems to be the norm right now. Anyway, the newest news is that our wonderful friends Jon and Jenny just had a beautiful baby boy on Saturday. He’s so precious! Congratulations Jon and Jenny!
Chris and I have been gone about every night for the last few weeks doing a different variety of things. So that’s why this blog is so late (so much for my weekly posts!) I always say this, but I’ll try to do better. Here is the info you’re really looking for…Luke facts!
Luke is growing like a weed. He’s 13 weeks old (3 months) and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone! He continues to grow (16 pounds now!) and develop and it's just amazing to watch from day to day the changes that are happening in his body and in his brain. Luke and I can hold quite a conversation now. He’ll coo or gurgle, I’ll imitate him which he LOVES, and we’ll go on like that until he wants to do something new. He smiles a lot and has started laughing a little more. It doesn’t really sound like a laugh, it’s just kind of a burst of sound, but it’s the funniest most beautiful sound ever!
On the 4th he grabbed a toy from me…I was so shocked! He loves this little blue elephant on his bouncy chair mobile, so I took it off and held it out to him and he took it from me!!! He’ll grab on to his feet or his mobiles fairly consistently, and he loves his hands. He’ll just lay in his car seat or his bouncy chair and look at them and rub them together…then he’ll stick them in his mouth.
I can tell he wants to sit up on his own. He’ll kick his feet and legs up and strain his stomach to sit, but he’s not quite strong enough to do it. We’ll help him out a little and then he’s content to sit up with your support.
He’s still not sleeping through the night. He’s sleeping for good periods though, which helps me a lot. Sometimes he’ll only wake up once, but most of the time it’s at least twice. At four months I may start letting him sleep in his crib, but I’m not sure yet. I have a feeling I would be up more if I couldn’t look over and see him in his bassinet or bouncy chair and know he’s ok. We’ll see when the time comes.
I am hoping to start rice cereal at four months. I think he’ll be ready and I’m hoping it will help him sleep all through the night.
So, to sum it all up, he’s constantly growing and developing! I thank God for this precious gift and that he’s healthy and happy!
