It's a rainy morning today, so I'm hoping the boys will sleep a little longer and I'll have some time to post some pictures today!
I have so many pictures to post that I'll have to put up separate blog posts over the next few weeks. Uh-Oh...the boys are awake...guess rainy mornings don't have the same sleep-in effect on them as it does on most people.
I guess I'll have to make this quick and let the pictures do most of the talking! =)
The boys love riding their bikes! One morning while I was taking Riley out, the boys wanted to ride their bikes. It was a nice, warm, sunny morning, and though they were still in their PJ's -I just couldn't say no. =) We have some sidewalk behind our apt, unfortunately, it's a slight uphill slope and they need constant pushes to get going. Here is Will helping Luke out!
I got a stomach virus not long after moving here...which meant spending the day on the couch with a book. The boys must have thought a book on the couch looked pretty appealing, because they were happy to join me!
One morning I was doing some work on the computer and Luke was drawing on his doodle and asked me how to spell "cat." I told him and a few minutes later he said, "Look mommy, I spelled cat!" I turned around expecting to see a few disjointed letters, but instead he showed me this:
I was shocked! He did it all on his own without any help! I was so proud of him I had to snap some pictures!
Not sure why Will was sitting in a basket, but he was having fun!
We started homeschool towards the end of August and so far the boys seem to really enjoy doing school. I have some worksheet books for them to go through and I'm trying to go slow through the letters and numbers to give Luke a chance to practice writing them. Will can do most of the same worksheets, but with some tweaking. He's not quite to the point of writing letters and numbers yet. I'll try to write a more detailed blog about our homeschooling, but until then, here are a few pictures!
Yes, our kiddos are sitting on bins for chairs. =) We decided to wait on buying a table and chairs until we move to a place that will be a little more permanent...and hopefully that place will have a little more room! The boys needed a little height in their seats -and the folding chairs were a little short for them - so a few stacked up bins seemed to provide the best seating for them. It's like a plastic bench!
