Happy Birthday Luke!

I can't believe my little boy is 3 years old today! Seriously, where did the time go?

The day was absolutely wonderful! We did miss daddy - and it broke my heart when Luke asked me if Daddy was going to come today - but I gently explained to him that daddy really wanted to be here, but he just couldn't. He seemed to understand and was happy to talk to Chris on the phone when he called to wish Luke a happy birthday.

I went back and forth between having a big party or having a small get-together with family. Because the last month has been somewhat stressful (I'll blog about that another time) I decided that having a small family get together would be the best way to go. Luke decided he wanted a fire truck themed birthday party and cake, so that's what he got! He loved every minute of his birthday - from the moment he woke up to the moment he fell sound asleep on his bed.

I will blog more about it later, but I am so exhausted I can't even think straight. I just wanted to post a blog to say a big HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY to my little Lukey! He is such an incredible blessing - truly a gift from God. I can't imagine my life without him!
